On August 22, 2017 the Society will welcome guest speaker Mr. Gerry Gould, who has taught American Indian Studies at the university level for 25 years. He is of Anishnaabeg (Ojibwa) ancestry and is currently Chief of the Swan Creek Black River Confederated Ojibwa Tribes of Michigan, a State Historic Tribe. Mr. Gould is a board member and historian with the Nokomis Learning Center in Okemos, who assisted in arranging this presentation. The program begins at 7 p.m. at the historic Stockbridge Town Hall, with social hour and refreshments beginning at 6:30. The public is invited!
